Jakub Parusinski is a co-founder and editor at The Fix, a media industry publication and research centre covering the European media sector, as well as managing partner at Jnomics media consultancy. He has written for the Financial Times and the Economist and managed the Kyiv Post as CEO in 2013-2014. After an MBA at INSEAD in 2015, Jakub worked at McKinsey in London on digital strategy and transformation.
Jakub is currently a board member of the Media Development Foundation in Kyiv and an advisory board member of the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, where he is also a program director, media strategy lecturer and mentor to a range of media from across the post-Soviet region.
The Fix is a media publication, advisory firm and research hub covering the changing European media, tech and publishing monetization landscape. It publishes news pieces, analyses, opinion columns and research on key trends in the European media space. Its goal is to increase the availability of reliable data to help media managers make fact-based decisions.
Additionally, The Fix carries out in-depth research on European media markets and provides advisory services. The team works together with a community of senior media managers and media development professionals to tackle key industry challenges.
Since the early hours of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, The Fix has coordinated the work of a coalition of media organizations, including Are We Europe, Media Development Foundation, Kyiv Independent and others to support Ukrainian media. To date, these efforts have raised over 5 million euros and provided close to 3 tons of PPE and tech, operational and financial support for 75 Ukrainian media organizations.
