András Dési had been for more than 26 years Senior Editor & Reporter with Hungary’s leading daily newspaper NÉPSZABADSÁG shut down in October 2016. During his career, he had spent more than 10 years as NÉPSZABADSÁG’s Permanent Correspondent in France and Germany. Currently, Mr. Dési is a free-lance author & journalist. Since January 2017 he is Country Reporter for the Paris-based international NGO “Reporters sans frontières” (Reporters Without Borders). Former Marshall Memorial Fellow (2006), since 2005 Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite de la République Francaise (Knight of The National Order of Merit of France).
