BIO: Katleen Gabriels

Katleen Gabriels works as an assistant professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and as a guest professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She is specialized in computer ethics and media ethics. In her research, the relation between present-day technologies and morality is a guiding concern. She analyzes ethical problems that arise with new and emerging technologies. Katleen is the author of Onlife. Hoe de digitale wereld je leven bepaalt (How digitization shapes your life) (Lannoo, 2016). Onlife was awarded the ‘Liberales book prize 2016’, which goes to the best non-fiction book written in Dutch.
